Blue Whale Boutique is a cottage shop offering unique handmade creations for children (infant through age 8).   We also offer a few goodies for their mamas (market totes, notecards, etc)!  We enjoy creating simple and practical designs with unique color and texture elements to appeal to children and adults alike. Everything we sell is handmade or embellished with hand crafted finishes.

Our brief history:  After years of working full time I decided to make a change and stay at home with our two children, Sophia & Nico.  I thought I’d be content and busy.  I was definitely busy, but found myself wanting to contribute something tangible on a daily basis…and something I could feel good about doing.  I started exploring my creative side (one that had been neglected for years!) and was in love.  To have found something that I enjoyed so much and could do with my children was such a blessing.  At first I just made gifts for friends, but it quickly turned into a little word-of-mouth business. My daughter Sophia (a lover of all things in the “sea-ocean”) gave it a name, and so began Blue Whale Boutique.  I have since begun carrying the handmade goods of a few other local designers (all of whom are fabulous) which adds to the variety I’m able to offer.

In addition to my own Blue Whale Designs, I currently feature the work of NanaBug, Shelly’s Handmade, Sweet Cherub, Handmade by Jen & “I’m This Many”.

Blue Whale Boutique is a home-based shop in Orlando, FL.  My biggest contributors by far are my incredible husband Rob (whose endless support and patience make this website possible), and my two little goonies Sophia (4 years) and Nico (21 months).  They are relentless product testers and continual sources of inspiration.  I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my husband for the web design and optimization, as well as to my brother, Brandon for the all of my graphic design and printing.  Thank goodness for computer geeks!
